About
I’m Akanksha, a senior software engineer. I like systems that are small enough to hold in my head and problems that force me to look one layer deeper than I planned to.
Most of my interests sit close to the metal: how memory is laid out, what the scheduler is doing, why a program is slow when the profiler says it isn’t, and where the abstractions we build on top of all that quietly leak. The rest of the time I’m a generalist — writing backend services, fixing build pipelines, reading specs, and learning whatever the problem in front of me requires.
What I write about
- Low-level notes: memory, concurrency, operating systems, performance, and the occasional look at generated code.
- Engineering in general: design trade-offs, debugging stories, and the tools that make the work less painful.
- Everything else: things I’m learning outside my comfort zone, because that’s usually where the interesting bits are.
